I had a Pell Grant last semester, but didn't finsih my courses. Will I be able to get another Pell Grant or have to pay it back?? I withdrew via the college plicies due to work related problems.

Johnny, you can get your Pell next semester by notifying the school's financial aid office that you are returning. You may have to receive a new award letter.

 

Make sure to ask if you owe any money for Pell funds. This is called a Title IV return. You have 'earned' all your Pell if you stayed in your classes until the school's "60% date" (usually the week after midterms). Basically the US Dept of Ed says that you got enough out of your classes and 'earned' your aid if you stay in class until that date. This date is determined by each school.

 

If you do owe some funds back, schools will work with you to repay these funds, they don't want to lose a student.
