Hi,

I am a self-employed IT admin & developer, working from my home.

My family is planning to move to another city in the same state next month.

Do you guys have any advice so as not to mess up the credit stuff I've got going?

I only have a few accounts but am unsure how moving will look with them or things like DNB, etc.

I've read a couple of times that people had problems with the legal address of the business being a home. If I'm going to change the setup this seems like a good time.

Any other advice or things I should watch for or anything I can do to make it easier?

Trusted Resources?

Thanks for reading..

Not much to worry about.. A handful of companies aren't home based friendly but with most it's not a issue. Just make sure you update your address with all current creditors and the CRA's and you will be good to go. It's not uncommon for a business to move but if you were changing addresses every 6 months you would run into issues.

Just make sure you inform all of your present creditors about your new address and notify each credit bureau that you have moved so that they can reflect it on the reports. Also, make sure you get a dedicated phone line for your business and register it with all of the appropriate parties, 411, etc.. Keep in mind that a large number of creditors look up businesses by their phone number so it is important you have that information all straightened out.
