I have also heard that Chase, Us bank, and Amex will not report to personal unless you are late.

From my personal experience this is correct.

Bank of America does not report to personal credit reports.

Hey Folks,

After doing a bit of phone calling to the banks; here's what I found about reporting to personal credit reports:

BOA -- Does not unless late

Regions - reports to personal

HSBC - reports to personal

US Bank - reports to personal

SUntrust - Reports to personal

Discover - Reports to personal

The search will continue for those who don't report to personal.

Citibank - Reports to personal Credit

Maybe I'm asking the wrong question - "does the account report to my personal credit report?" Am I phrasing the question wrong? If so, what should I be asking?

I have a US Bank business card and they DON'T report to personal.

Neither does:

Bank Atlantic (now Juniper)

Chase (Ink and Ritz Carlton)

and AmEx

I do have an old Cap 1 card and had a State Farm card that I closed because they did report to Personal.

Hopefully more people will post their experiences here - because it sure helps to know.

I know for myself that I have to put a lot of business expenses on my business cards and I don't see why they should report to my Personal - since they are not personal expenses. I have NO PROBLEM with reporting if I am Late - but my score shouldn't be impacted because of usage on my business cards.

Just my humble opinion

I'm with you, the account should not appear on personal credit b/c it's biz credit.

Alot of what I've read on the forums confirm what you say about Amex etc..... When I'm talking with these people, do you have any suggestions on the question I should be asking them? I've been as straight forward with them as possible, but maybe I'm not asking the question properly.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just wanted to bump this because I am considering applying for a business line in the next few days. Are you SURE Citi doesn't report to personal credit? Because everything I am reading says they do.

Citi won't report, I have three biz cards with them. They do not report to personal.

Nfcu Biz won't report.

BOA won't either.

State Farm and cap 1 do report to personal.

These are recent cards ( past year).

In this thread I have seen conflicting statements about Citi. Some claim they WILL report to personal, others not. I've seen that same confusion on other sites.

Does anyone have a Citi business card that DOES report?
