news update states checks will be goingo out next week. would sure love to figure out how to get the tl of my report. i received a payout from the independent review and i will be getting one from this one too....anyone else have any luck using these to get the tl removed?

I received my check today for the Mortgage settlement however I have not attempted removal yet either... are you attempting to remove based on the premise of the illegitimacy of the foreclosure proceedings? I never stopped to think about that during the credit repair process either as it is a very valid point unless one of the experts could chime in here if they think otherwise?

curious....how much was the check for? i was thinking of trying that and disputing with cra's first and then possibly sending a modified goodwill letter to bank of america executive

Got my NMS check today for 1480ish and also received an IFR payment previously. My foreclosure was deleted from all three CRAs without a dispute initiated by me.

Just disappeared like that.... have you been aware of that happening to anyone else with similar circumstances as us? i fit the mold with you as i have received both as well... i was going to gather a dispute approach but wonder if i should wait it out if this is going to be across the board..

I was with Wells Fargo and I believe a couple of others on this forum had theirs removed as well without dispute.

Got my check from the NMS yesterday. Looks like everyone got the same amount, around $1480 from the class action.

Hmmm...i had Americas Servicing Company under Wells Fargo... still there for me though... guess its almost time to gear up and get to it on that dispute

I received the check in the mail today....Nice to get compensated for Wells Fargo being shady but I would love to file a civil suit against them to really get some compensation!

 

How does one get the TL for the Wells Fargo to delete? It's still on my report and will be until 08/2014. I would love to get this off my report ASAP.

guess a good suggestion would be for us to come up with what we are able to on our own by way of modifying a template or two to apply to this situation.... and maybe if we post the letter here, some will chime in with feedback. Im hoping to complete one no later than Monday but hopefully tomorrow...

Great idea! Also would need to find the email address and names of the higher ups at Wells Fargo b/c most likely, the regular CSR's are going to ignore.

 

I would think a simply, yet woe is me type of good will letter would be good. Explain the circumstances of why the foreclosure happened and how you are trying to move forward in life and this foreclosure on your credit report is holding you back from simply moving forward. Someone has to have a heart in Wells Fargo...

so this seems weird....my husband and i bought our house when we weren't married, so it was two single people on the mortgage. He got his check the other day for half the amount. I am wondering where mine is???? does anyone know if you call if they can give you that information? I filled out the claim form and it had both of our names on the claim form....i hope this doesn't mean that they aren't sending it to me.

 

just wondering if anyone else had this happen where it kind of lagged behind.....

i forgot exactly how that works but i remember seeing something that said if there was more than one name on the check then they both had to be present, however, it may just be that it mailed out a day or two later than his. If you call the number given they should be able to tell you exactly... to my belief, everything except the exact amount which you probably are familiar with by now.

Has anyone created/found a letter template for getting a foreclosure removed from their credit report? My aunt was a part of the National Mortgage Settlement and received a payment. She said that this foreclosure has ruined her credit score.
