Old address from 21 years ago !!- Experian

[HERE WE GO !!!]

Transunion and Equifax deleted old addresses as requested.

 

Experian removed 1 old address. The one that they removed was NOT associated with my 2 medical collections.

 

However, they ADDED an address that I have NOT lived at in 21 years !!!! This address is NOT tied to any accounts.

 

What should I do now ?

NO, I sent a certified letter asking for old addresses to be deleted per Why Chat's instructions.

 

I just can't understand why they would add an address that was NOT on my report to begin with.

When was the last time you recall seeing this address on your EX report?

 

I would send another letter CM asking to delete this address due to concerns of identity theft/fraud.

I haven't seen this address on my credit report for at least 12 or 13 years.

 

I just can't believe I have to spend more money for another certified letter to Experian.

 

I ONLY had a total of 2 old addresses to delete. One they did delete and the other is tied to a TL, which I figured would not be deleted from reading comments and posts here on Creditboards.

 

But, I did not expect them to ADD an address !!!!

Just call them and tell them you do not recognize this address. They will delete it. EX is Satan when it comes to addresses.

I hate Experian. LOL It was a simple request. Transunion and Equifax got it right.

 

Always has to be a party pooper in the bunch.

Were any of the medical services rendered while you were living at this address? I would imagine if not, then having this address on EX will not hinder you in the HIPAA process.

If the ANCIENT address isn't hurting you, then go ahead with your disputes.

 

HOWEVER having an OLD address pop up like that MIGHT be a symptom of ID theft/fraud.

 

Check all your reports very carefully for unknown inquiries and get your MIB report.

I have a lock on my credit reports with ALL 3 CRA'S. I renew the lock every 90 days.

 

Nothing unusual with any of the reports.

Do you have your MIB report??

No not yet. I am going to check with my health insurance company to get the MIB reports.

 

I think the amounts that are on my credit reports are right. I only have the 2 collections.

 

Since Equifax has deleted the old addresses, I sent the initial dispute letter to them about 11 days ago. Have NOT heard anything yet from them.

I called Transunion on Friday and asked them to delete the old address that just showed up on my credit report. The CSR said no problem. I asked when it would come of my CR. She said 24-72 hours, but most likely it would be gone the following day.

 

I checked my Experian report the following day and the old address is gone BUT now there is another address showing up on my CR.that I NEVER lived at !! In fact the city that is listed, I have NEVER lived in !!!!!!!

 

How can things so simple like a address deletion get so messed up ?

 

Experian is closed for disputes and will not reopen until Tuesday. I will try again maybe this time they will get it right.
