So I guess it's about six months after the price hike at USAA CCMP and my "promo" rate of six or so dollars a month for six months went up to the regular retail of $22 or so a month. I'm gonna call in soon and see about getting that knocked down again. I imagine that has happened to several others here as well and I'm just wondering if anyone has requested a decrease, if it worked, tips, tricks, advice, etc. Thanks.

Mine rebilled about two weeks ago at 11.12, but that might be the last month. I have a reminder on my calendar to check again next month. Let us know what you find out.

I used to have unlimited pulls for about $12 per month. Then I switched to $6 month for one pull per month. Are you saying mine will go up? I don't remember anyone saying it was a limited time promotion. I thought that was the new price.

Yeah, I meant for unlimited pulls. They raised the price to $22/month I guess about six months ago and that was a bit much for many around here and by calling in most were able to get it to $11.12 a month (with daily pulls). I and many others want the daily pull feature and for me it has gone back up to $22.

Thanks for the heads up, just called and got the discount extented until December. They tried to offer me $15, but it's not worth that to me. Told them that and they dropped it to the $11 and change I normally pay.

Just called myself. Same results as Goose, first offer was $15, and when I again asked for the $11 rate she had to ask her supervisor who approved it for another 6 months. Woohoo!!!

Hmm my rep said there was absolutely no way to get it back to $11, the best she could do was $15 or the monthly pull for $6. I begrudgingly took the $15 for 6 months since it's better than 22, but maybe I'll call back and try again.

I would call back and try again. I think it's all about the rep you get. All you need is one to approve it and you're good.

I called and asked them to extend the discount, she did so through November and said to try back before my Dec 20 billing to see if they'll do so again

I never had the discounted rate. I called to cancel hoping to get the discount. Instead the rep offered 6.95 for the once/monthly pull service. I asked if there was anything she could do to lower the price on the premium to which she replied, "NO". Then she proceeded to read me the cancellation spiel, you'll receive a cancellation email... blah blah blah.

I had to call back to reinstate :blush2:

YMMV, but as for me if JENNIFER answers again I'm hanging up :)

When you called back to reinstate, did you get the daily puller for $11.12? And I got no problem with hanging up and starting over if I don't like what I'm hearing from a CSR!!! :D

You guys made me jealous!

I was at $15 since I first started, but I figured, what the hey, give 'em a call and ask. They said the $11.22 was grandfathered in. I said I would have been, too, had I known about their service earlier, and besides, my friends are all talking and laughing about the great deal they got and I had sit by quietly because I couldn't tell them I was at $15 and wouldn't ever have the joy they knew and my 60th birthday just past and I could have been HER grandfather and...

I'm now at $11.22 and need to call back in 6 months to extend it.

Thanks guys!

My first response:

Dear ---,

Thank you for contacting us. To answer your question, we have an Unlimited Premium
membership for $22.94. If you would like for me to get you signed up on the
Unlimited where you can get a fresh report every day, please reply back to this
email and I will be happy to upgrade your membership for you. Thank you for
choosing Credit Check Monitoring for USAA members.

After my reply to that, their response:

Dear ---,

I do have a discounted rate of $16.46 for 6 months if you would be interested. If
this is something you want me to put in place for you, please let me know. I
will be happy to upgrade your membership and apply this discount for you.

Thinking this was their best deal, I said I would agree to an upgrade at their "lowest available price", and then they came back with:

Dear ---,

Thank you for contacting us.

We set your membership for the unlimited daily pulls per your request. You have
immediate access to these daily pulls but you should not be billed until your
next billing date 8/1/13.

I was able to get my supervisor to give you 50% off for the next 6 months making
your billing $11.47 per month through 2/1/14.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions.

I'll take it. :)

Mine went up to 22.24 this month. I just sent an email asking how to qualify for a lower price (and politely indicated that only pulling once a month wasn't going to cut it).

We'll see how this goes.
