I have always denied the fact that I would need good credit especially during my early adolescence years which lead to where I am at today. It was in my early twenties and with no guidance, the issue never became serious to me. I kept on putting off paying bills and credit cards till some of them went to collection and others still with original creditors. I do not owe much though; in fact, one credit card from Wells Fargo, Verizon and T-Mobile phone bills, and one small medical bill from General Hospital. Now I feel bad about this but I know there is no one to blame but me. For the first time over the past five years, I went to the bank and pulled out my credit report to see where I stand. My recklessness equals a score of 564 and that is where I stand today. Now when I look back and see that it was not worth it, it bugs me every night and I really want to put it off my shoulders as soon as possible. I have seeing so many generous and caring people on these forums, and I really appreciate your help.

I am not sure what to do to bring my score back up in a short time, but I am willing to pay off everything in full if that is the best way to go. And that is my question; I have the money that can pay off for all of those debts but what is the best way to achieve a shorter time in fixing my credit that way I can get back on track living appropriately? I have installment payments and I am being on time with those if that is one way of doing it.

I have seen on some of the posts that if I pay in full any debt, I should ask for "delete" ! What does that mean and how to do it if that is the case?

Thank you for your time

Identify whether these are collection agencies reporting, or the original creditors, or both.

In my experience, Wells Fargo does not like to play, so I would forget about that one just for now.

For the cell phone bills, I would attempt to pay the providers directly if possible. Many people had success with doing that, and then disputing off the collection agencies.

For the medical collection, I would go to the medical subforum here and read up on the HIPAA process. You may even want to do that first.

Good luck!
