Wonderful friends.

Loving family.

Youth. (ish)

Good Health.

Yet I'm home alone on a Saturday cuz I just 'don't feel like it' today. So freaking tired. I just needed a 'me day'. Not a spa day, no massage/good book/ long bath/shopping. No, that'd be to productive, I mean a lay in bed cuz I'm so damn tired of being an adult, type a mini diary session on the internet because they won't hold you accountable for spending the day watching horrible movies you got from Redbox because they're only $1.20 each sorta day.

Ya feel me? When was your last one? Interested in hearing from parents, I don't know how you guys have the stamina to keep up with kids AND do all the things non-parents have to do. Do you even get to have these types of days?

Muahahaha. Yup. It's the sort of day where I forget what day it is. I woke up at 4:30 am to stand in line for four hours to buy tickets to a 4 year olds ballet recital, you'll have to forgive my error.

NOPE us parents do not get those days. Our son is 14 months now and there is no me days. We are fortunate to have parents that watch him quite often but those free days are so we get things done and not to sit around and do nothing.

The closest I get is on Sundays when DW and son go to church and then over to her parents afterwards. However that is when I do the laundry and dishes and prepare dinners for the week so I don't think that counts as a me day.

Enjoy those while you have them!!!

It's cool. I just hope you don't have work on Monday. :)

Took an hour power nap. It helped. Thankfully I don't have to be social at my job lol

Last week sometime. I love going out, don't get me wrong, but at times I also love sitting at home by myself and doing...not much of anything. I like myself.

I even went to a lounge a couple weekends ago by myself to listen to one of my favorite bands. Granted, that was unexpected since one of my buddies failed to show but, I enjoyed myself. It was nice.

You parents need to try harder - lol.

I take about 2 "Me Days" a year. Call out sick from work, send the kid to school, send the husband to work and do NOTHING. No cleaning, no cooking, no exercising, nothing. It's very good for the soul.

DH and I take an additional ~2 couples' hookie days a year. We both take off work (usually a vacation day) and send the kid to school. Then we have a day to ourselves.

I don't know. Am I confused? I don't feel like I am dying inside without this.

Also, H works from home. I don't know that I could even tell you the last time I was in my house without other people there.
