Hey guys,

Got a bit ballsy yesterday and applied for and was instantly approved for the Barclays Travelocity Amex. Was fairly surprised considered I IIB'd two cards for fairly significant amounts. In any case, when I signed in to see my new Travelocity card I was shocked to be presented with this notice regarding my IIB'd Carnival card.

Anyway, I posted about this yesterday in someone else's thread, but now I'm curious, have any of you had any luck getting the IIB'd accounts removed from your online account? I emailed them through their secure interface, but I've gotten a reply telling me that "both open and closed accounts show under a customer's account and that there's no way to remove it. I called and got someone on the phone and explained, and he said that he wasn't able to remove them, but that he understood and would escalate it. He seemed reasonably competent, but who knows if anything can be done even once it's "escalated."

Sadly, I'd rather close the account opposed to seeing these reminders of my past everytime I sign into the account... Let's see how it works out... :-/

I wonder if you could ask for the accounts to be assigned to different logins or email addresses.

I am only thinking in these terms because I have somewhat of an inverse problem with American Express (which I haven't made any effort to resolve). I had my first card with them in 2011 (which I closed with a zero balance) and I got a new card from them in 2013.

It would be much more convenient if I could view both cards from a single login, but for some reason when I went to register my new card it required me to create an entirely new login... so I have "Credential Set A (ID/PW)" to log in to see my old card, and "Credential Set B" for my new one. It's kind of annoying.

You might try working the angle that it would be more convenient for you if they tied account A to one login and account B to a different one.
