Where to try for financing

I may not have enough information to ask but am kinda desparate.

 

The engine blew on my 2003 Explorer. Needless to say more to fix it than it is worth,.

 

We have a 95 Ford F150 at the shop NOW $810 for a new gas tank and over 150,000 miles

 

Here is what I know of my credit.

TU: 617

EQ 647

Not sure how many "baddies" remain but most of them drop off in 2014

(1) active credit account, almost maxed only $300 secured with Public Savings, now open sky

 

Student Loans in deferment, over $14000.00

 

Been with same company for over 1 1/2 years but was under a temp group until Feb. So only on Company's payroll since Feb.

 

Income is before taxes $2,320.00. This is for 40 weeks. We generally have 1-5 hours of mandatory OT. Starting next month I will be receiving incentives as well.

 

I don't want to apply a lot of different places pulling my credit. I rented a car from enterprise and they were telling me they sell cars UNDER Kelly blue book but they want to run my credit before they show me what is available. HUGE turn off for me. I live in the boonies and would ike to get something 4 wheel drive if possible.

 

About 8 years ago, credit was worse, income less. Cap one approved me for $16000.00 but that was a long time ago.

That's extraordinarily low for 40 week. Way below minimum for consideration.

LOL I meant 40 hours a week. It is $30,160.oo per year w/o OT and incentives.

imo you would probably have better luck with blemished credit were you to try via a dealer for a suitable vehicle.
