Well, I'm tired of trying to find a place to cash my checks. I'm a 1099 employee and they pay me through BillPay so cashing at Walmart is tricky cause sometimes it'll go through and others it won't. Anyhow, I applied for Regions and was approved through them but I'm always worried so I tried 5/3 as well.

I was declined the accounts I tried which was the eAccess account and their savings account, however, they offered me the Basic Account which had some fees attached to it but I was willing to live with 8 bucks a month. It stated that after a year I could convert to any account. Problem is I can't find any information on the account anywhere and they don't list it on their site.

Anyone have experience with this account? Am I ok? Might it be closed?

I'm assuming you have some items on Chex correct? That is most likely their second chance type account which some banks don't advertise but only offer after getting declined for other accounts.

I was able to open an account at Fifth Third with one, maybe two items report to Chex. I only had issues with online bill pay, which is why I moved to Chase. When I opened the Eaccess was called a Rewards Checking, and I was recently switched to the Eaccess.

Fifth Third also offers second chance checking and has been approving many people reported to chexsystems. It seems that the main ones that are later closed are those that have been reported to EWS
