Oh boy....long story.

No, NSA is not a good route to get to them anymore, give me a min to find the threads you can read through.

In the meantime, a little synopsis:

Very inq sensitive, and chex inq sensitive. The bottom line I get, is they do not like what appears to be rate or CU shoppers.

i guess psecu would be my next stop :)

Yea, they are good - BW also just posted something about Alliant with 1.49 or 1.79 up to 72 months, and GTE FCU does 1.74 up to 72.

well my CU is 1.76 for 72 months so I think ill give them the extra 4x cents every month lol

they helped me a lot when my credit was just starting out. my car was 7 years old, with 64,000 miles, no auto loans ever, only one credit card and a student loan. no money down, not even TT&L....AND I had a bajillion 4-5 year old lates from sallie mae's evil "split the loan up into 6 loans" scheme they have going on over there lol.

They gave me a GREAT rate considering i had little history, little down, and and old flowers car.

6.4 or something like that, then they lowered it to 4.24 after those lates fell off.

Which CU is the best for refinancing with bad credit? My brother in law needs to get his scores up and get out of his crazy auto loan with Santander.

Well yea, show your loyalty back Mo Munny. It is rare in that an FI will even drop your rate or allow you to refi a loan already with them, I would give them my business also.

Go to the rates pinned topics Brn, Marv has some CU rate sheets with the scores to APR to get a general idea.

I know with one of mine, Apple - they require a 560 or higher for Auto loan. When I came in at 600 on the nose after BK, they gave me 10.74%, but I went with Toyota since my Auto-Enhanced was higher and got me 0%.

Also, when I call Theresa always answers :)

I would like to think that i can hope for alittle of the same loyalty later if I ever need a favor :)

I am not sure, I will look Brn. I joined because I qualified otherwise. They pull TU if not in-front of them, they are in VA. EQ if you are in-branch from what I understand. I had to ask for recon also on the LTV, and when I did they agreed with me and met my terms, but also pulled EQ to verify. I had a slightly higher score on EQ and some pending negatives to fall that had already fell on EQ and used that as my basis for recon. They pulled it to verify, and gave in. Also - they do NOT approve with negative Chex entries for FYI.

Yea, most times they will use past experiences to give you some good rates, if you happen to be in the crapper credit wise. I have heard of them before, are they a open membership?

Brn, you have to be in VA to join through that association.

Oh ok.. I didn't see that.. I'm going to see if I can get some info out of the two CU's here in NH I belong to and see if Imcan get a min score out of them. My b-inlaw is at about 500 right now so he has a ways to go before a refinance any way.
