I had to visit my local Tiger Direct store to purchase a web cam for a video conference call, and while I was there asked about setting up a business account. I was given the a B2B team member, he took my information to set up the account and sent me an credit application for Open Account privileges, which are Net 30. I completed the application and an authorization letter (on our letterhead) allowing use in the stores as well.

 

He said it takes 2-3 days for decision from the credit department.

It was really painless , be positive.

I think I knew in 24 hours .

 

Only used them once ,received bill and tv at the same time.

 

Was like net 30 but actually net 15 by the time I received item.

High trade believe it or not is the car I leased through BMW, they don't report, I added the dealership to trade references at credit builder , bought the finance manager lunch, since he is the one that has to verify when DB calls and Bam.

It worked.

Everything is legit since technically the car was bought from the dealership and paid in full by BMW. And my business. Is paying non reporting BMW .

That is one of the very few times the credit builder is actually worth it.. But also highlights the problem with being able to "buy" credit. That is why DNB has lost its creditabilty with a lot of lenders.

Yea it is a tough one. I had gotten turned down by one of their sister companies about 8-9 months ago (Global Computer). They're all under Systemax. Good luck though.

Sharp move. Did you give him a heads up on what to say? There have been situations where dnb will only post your monthly payments instead of the whole 25k.

To qualify for an Open Account, you must be in business and have a bank account for at least 1 year and be listed with Dunn & Bradstreet or have 3 trade references.

 

I've been in business since 2001, with company bank account. I am listed in D&B and provided 4 references on the application.
