First of all I’d like to thank all those who have asked questions and described their various situations, and of course whychat (and others) for providing the answers/advice. I’ve learned so much reading through this forum. I now have a question of my own...

I’ve opted out

Deleted old addresses

And just yesterday mailed my initial HIPPA dispute letters

Will it disrupt the HIPPA letter program if I mail letters to the CRA’s requesting removal/deletion of a non medical collection? - I have a letter which i intend to attach from the CA stating that I am “not the correct consumer for this account”.

I look forward to everyones advice!

I suggest you wait until your medical accounts are cleared off before disputing the non medical account as the disputes will get merged in the CRA system and your responses will be delayed.

Are you saying that you have documentation from a CA stating that you were a victim of ID theft/fraud??

Tell the CA to delete the entries or you will file civil and criminal action against them.

whychat thanks for your quick response!

i have a letter from the CA "Collection Bureau of America" stating that they investigated my dispute and its their position that i am not the correct consumer for this account. they have requested the consumer reporting agencies remove the account if the account has been credit reported. I got this letter on April 17th. i guess i'm just impatient...

If any CRA fails to delete in response to your initial dispute, send them a copy of the CA letter and request they re-investigate and delete or you will file all appropriate complaints .

can i send a copy of the CA letter today? - or should i wait a beat and see how my HIPPA process plays out.

if okay to send copy of the CA letter today is there a format or wording i should/shouldn't use?

thanks again for everything!!

It is better to wait for the response from your dispute. You may just get things confused and delayed if you duplicate a dispute.

okay... i'm trying to sit tight, i'm just so anxious to finally take control from these jerks.

i just got an alert from myfico, that they noticed a change on my credit report, what was it you ask?

"your current address has changed on your file"

my "previously reported address" which IS THE CORRECT address has been changed on my file and the "newly reported" address is now INCORRECT.

so for some reason they are now reporting an incorrect address!!!

can I please take care of at least this now? - do i have to wait?

thanks!

My Fico is a good 3rd party monitoring service--BUT it is NOT what you should rely upon for credit repair. Go to the "back door" of whichever CRA it says has changed your address and see the results directly.

whychat let me know if i should start a new thread for my below question;

as i said in my first post, i opted out, attempted to delete old address, and mailed my HIPPA dispute letter

i just logged into myfico and refreshed my report. 2 medical collections have dropped off!!

the other 3 say "Consumer disputes this account information, Medical"

should i sit tight and wait for a written response from the CRA's?

thanks again for all your help!! truly!

i just got this email from experian, i'm afraid if i log in i will mess something up:

have i screwed up somewhere? - i never filed an online investigation

The results of your investigation of information in your Experian personal credit report are now available for online viewing. For your protection, please review your results online within four days of the following date: 05/16/2013
To review your results, go to the following URL and enter the requested information. www.experian.com/rd_personal/ps_getyourresultCDF_redir.html
Your Report Number is: XXXXXXXXXX
Your Investigation ID is: XX

also on my experian credit report on the three medical accounts it now says:

"Account in dispute-reported by subscriber"

I'm afraid I've really screwed something up!

HELP!

No, you received a standard reply. They will always try to get you to dispute on line and clicking to get your results on line will only make them bypass their HUMAN CSRs .

Wait for a written response.

Standard response -- Send them a short letter stating that your dispute was sent by you and you are enclosing proof of your identity. Include a copy of their letter, a copy of your SS card a copy of your drivers license and an original recent utility bill. Request that they expedite your dispute of xx/xx/xxxx and tell them that any further delay will cause you to report them to the FTC and CFPB

thank you!

should i write this letter in the same format as the "initial HIPPA dispute letters"?

No, send it properly typed and with a return receipt requested. Once you mention legal complaints or actions you should make sure your correspondence is "Courtroom ready".

I want to make sure I'm not missing anything, how does the below letter sound?

Is there a specific department I should address?

My Name

Via Certified Mail (return receipt requested) #: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Experian

PO Box 9701

Allen, TX 75013

To Whom it May Concern

I received a letter from Experian dated, May 14th, 2013 (See Enclosed).

I am writing in response to the above referenced letter to inform you that the “suspicious” request” was a dispute that was sent by me via Certified Mail #:

XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on May 6th, 2013.

As proof of my identity please find enclosed a copy of my Social Security card and Drivers License.

Please Expedite my dispute of May 6th, 2013. Any further delay will leave me with no choice but to report you to the FTC and CFPB.

Sincerely

received a letter today from a CA that I assume was in response to my "initial HIPPA dispute" letters I sent to the CRA's.

i'd like to upload the letter for review and i cant for the life of me figure out how to get the image in my post.

can anyone help?

thanks!

Thanks, the DV letter makes sense because the CA's letter to me does not prove any relationship between them and the OC - am i correct in my understanding?

Also do I send the follow up letters to the CRA's at the same time?

Got it... sorry last question (for now at least).

On the top of the letter from the CA there is 1 account number. On the bottom of the same letter the CA lists the 5 accounts assigned to their office by "client name" and "client reference no"

On the top of my DV letter should I include the 1 account number or should I list each "client reference no"?

Thanks again for everything!
