Can anyone point me in the right direction on laws pertaining to ca's charging interest on medical bills in Kansas? I am looking for it through the AG site, but having a difficult time finding it. Thank You!

Why Chat, thank you for your input. I have probably already screwed this up, but I have already paid the OC in full. My account went to collections in 10/9/2012. I paid the OC 2/7/2013. I received a summons 4/15/2013 stating I am being sued for the full amount, which I paid, plus all the add ons they can think of. I called the hospital on 4/16, to confirm they did show my account paid in full, they did. I asked why they were suing. The lady sighed, said good grief, and confirmed my phone number and said she would call me right back. She did call back quickly, she had called the CA, they told her they were suing for $207 interest. She gave me the persons name and number she had spoken with and told me to call them and make arrangements. I have not called that CA. Interesting the petition states the hospital as the plaintiff, no where is the CA mentioned. However, I did call attorney named on the summons, after I first posted my question. Hope I didn't hurt myself... I asked who they were representing, the girl stated the hospital at one time then the ca at another time. She told me I needed to pay now to avoid judgement. I told her that was untrue. She told me disputing interest wasn't a valid dispute. ??? I said ooook. I asked for the name of the attorney I would be seeing at court. She put me on hold for some time, when she came back, she said it was an open court date and there would be no representative from their office. I would be before the clerk of court. Again, I said ok. Geesh... how badly have I messed up your plan while hurting myself?
