I applied for the Northern Tool Business Credit Card yesterday.

The Credit Analyst indicated:

... Though your business is well established on the credit bureau Experian, corporate records show the LLC was filed in 2011. (Business started in 01/2001) Based on that, we do ask for a personal guaranty....

I requested $5k credit line. I asked how much would they approve without PG, she replied 2500.

I requested to accept the approval (2500) and not use PG, as I do not wish to take inquiry on my personal bureau.

I am awaiting her confirmation of my acceptance of the No PG credit limit/account.

Spoke with analyst late yesterday, account approved for 2500 without PG. I told her that my personal credit is good (700's), but do not want to take inquiry, she understood. She indicated if I would want a higher CL, either have sufficent use/pay history or offer PG. PG requires a single hard inquiry and soft hits semi-annually.

I received the "Welcome" email this morning with 2500 CL.

I am fine with the 2500 for now.

Congrats and good for you for not taking the hit on your personal credit. You'd find that If you use the account regularly and pay accordingly, automatic credit limit increases would follow within a few months.

You also asked the question many don't, what will you give me with out a PG. And as mentioned if you are using the account and paying you will have the limit very soon.

Nice. I'm cool with my 2500 limit as well. Don't buy much from Northern anyway.
