Why Chat- please give me some advice on Medical Collections

Why Chat,

 

I have two small medical collections on my credit for under 200. I made the mistake yesterday of mailing out checks to the CA's for the amounts, however I did write on the checks "by endorsing this check we agree to delete from all credit depositories".

Should I do one of a couple things?

 

1) Call the bank and cancel the checks. Then use the HIPPA letters and pay the oc.

 

2) Is it to late and should I just let the checks go to the CA's and see what happens.

If you put a stop payment on the checks it will cost you more than it is worth.( most banks charge a $10.-$25 fee to stop payment.

 

Wait and see how your reports are affected. Worse comes to worse if they change it to a "paid" collection you can use the HIPAA letter program to get a deletion.
