I haven't signed anything and we have been basically separated. She and I are both on state sponsored insurance. She has been to the hospital several times this year. The only way I have been involved is to provide her with copays in cash which she has submitted in her name. If she owes some medical bills is there any way they can go after me for them. Let me also say that I don't have any money and work a minimum wage job so there is no pot of gold here for someone trying to recoup a bunch of money. My wife and I have different last names also. She never took my name. Not sure if that matters at all. Thanks for the advice.

I suggest you check your credit reports, opt out and delete old addresses.

If you have any problems, they will show up on your reports.

I doubt very much that anyone will be trying to get anything from you, however, you should get your reports and opt out so that in the future once you have better times you won't be hit with ghosts of relationships past.

Thanks. I already am opted out and I have nothing on my reports nor have ever received anything in the mail concerning her bills. My address is not on anything of hers either.
