Hi everyone:

I am just reading WhyChat's method and I got to the part where it speaks of 'Insert A', which says the following:

(insert a) Enclosed please find my remittance of ($___) for payment in full of this
account. (insert this if the payment is less than billed)This payment in full is for
services as per the attached fee schedule from XXXX XXXX) Health Care Billing Charts Please note, my remittance is payable ONLY to (hc provider) and may not be
signed over or transferred to any third party collection agency, as this would
constitute an additional violation of HIPAA and State Privacy Act rules
.

However, when I click on the link for the Health Care Billing Charts, it doesn't bring me to a page regarding billing charts. I tried to Google it but I came up with nothing. Where can I find this info. If I have to end up paying, I definitly do not want to pay more than I have to.

Also, I have a medical account, that I received a bill for that is still with the OC and is under 4 years old and is not on my credit report (because it is with the OC). The account is for services rendered in 2009. How should I approach this situation?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have a current billing dispute with the OC??

Thanks in advance.

Hi WhyChat:

Thanks for the response. Yes I have received a bill from the doctors office. I have been receiving the bill for quite some time and just was plain ole irresponsible. I did have insurance at the time but, the insurance was crappy and did not cover all of the costs. I am wondering if I should start paying now before it goes to a CA. I do not have a dispute with the doctor but should I before I start paying? I am trying to do better now.
