How to handle if Dentist sent money back and refuses to cash it based on letter and terms with it?

Or did you just jump in and pay the OC with the HIPAA letter??

Do you have an original thread in this forum describing your situation?? Date of medical service etc.??

1. Opted out (awhile back)

2. Deleted old addresses (awhile back)

3. Sent initial dispute letter to CRA

4. Confirmed business relationship

5. Sent Form letter with insert (a) exactly how described with no changes to the letter.

6. Money sent back.

 

Date of service: 1/16/2009

 

Also have done a different account with this and they have deposited the bank money order and I have sent out the second round of paperwork.

3. Sent initial dispute letter to CRA What was the response??, HOW exactly did you "confirm a CURRENT business relationship??

4. Confirmed business relationship

5. Sent Form letter with insert (a) exactly how described with no changes to the letter.

I DV'd the CA and they sent me the information that matched my records.

 

Account is barely 4 years old

The fact that the CA had acquired information that matched your records does NOT mean that they have a current business relationship with the OC.

 

If you sent the CA the medical DV and they responded to you with accurate information, that is a different story, a regular DV does not include the HIPAA requirements as does the medical DV from the HIPAA letter program.

I followed every step as you describe and yes it was the Medical DV.

To update this, I sent the Money Order back and this time it was cashed as I just confirmed it with the bank that issued it. On to the next steps.
