Does anyone know if the payout from the lender constitutes admission of error that could be used to leverage removal of the foreclosure from our credit reports? From the failed forclosure review of course.

Thanks,

I am wondering the same thing. I got 400 check today from the foreclosure review. All I care about is getting it removed from the CRA's

The way I see it is I got 400 because they Made mistakes. They should also remove it.

ive read that some who had mortgages owned by Wells Fargo just woke up one day to see the tradeline gone.... now this is not the case for me at this point, however, im wondering if hearing that more than once tells me that they will likely respond in good manner and delete. The part that stands out to me on the FR and the NMS is that you are not prevented from your own independent lawsuits... so i figure with them knowing that, they are probably.. at least at this point and time.. in a position where they do not want to stir up more trouble.. and probably wont argue with it. I for sure, will definitely dispute using this as leverage and see where it takes me. Keep you guys posted.

My bf was apart of the national settlement so I send a goodwill letter asking them to remove and they declined saying they have to report what's true. It falls off in Oct of next year but we would love to see this gone.

I hate Wells Fargo scammers....gave him no option (only 60 days late and he could have paid a week after they contacted him and then someone randomly showed up on his front door and forced the foreclosure). And it's too late to sue them now...ugh.

Anyone have any kind of luck out there getting the foreclosure off after the nation mortgage settlement?
