Who Pays for Home Insurance after BK chptr7?

My Wife and I filled for BK7 back in 2011 and have been in forclosure status since then, however, we stopped paying for our own Home Insurance and all of a sudden the Bank sent us a leter indicating that we must provide proof of Home Insurance or else they would do it in our behalve. My question is as follwos; If we had filled for BK7 and had surrender the house, are we still liable for paying for home insurance and property taxes? (By the way, we're currently still living in the house)

If your in foreclosure then it really doesnt matter if they charge you for the insurance. The lenders will place what they call force placed homeowners insurance. When you bought the home you signed a disclosure that if you ever let the insurance lapse the can do that. It is usaually about 2 to 3 times the amount that yours was. But if your just being forclosed on then what can they do to enforce it. its a non-factor Good Luck

In my case, my servicer paid my escrow despite me not paying the bank. Taxes and Home Owners. One of the forum leads would know - I did read somewhere that you are still liable until the home is out of your name should someone fall or injures themselves on the property if you do not have insurance; not sure - just food for thought.
