BK/Foreclosure Dates

We filed BK in Aug of 2010, it was discharged in Oct of 2010. We included our house in the BK but had planned on keeping it. My husbands job transferred us in Dec of 2010 7 hours and 4 states away. I stopped making payments on the house in April of 2011, the foreclosure process was started with the courts in Aug of 2011. When all was said and done house was sold back to lender in April of 2012. House was NOT taken out of our names until Oct of 2012. When is my 3 years? I am getting conflicting answers every where I look. Please help. We have repaired our credit and are still working on it. Right now our mid scores are 659 and 687 so getting there slowly but surely. I am almost 100% sure there was mistakes on mortgage info b/c the loan was sold at least 1 time while we lived there. Wanting to purchase a home in the future but need to know when it will be possible. Renting right now, hate paying $1000/mo for rent when with interest rates the way they are we could own a beautiful home of our own for that much a month. Thank you.

Most lenders will start with the date the house was transferred out of your name, so looks like Oct 2012 unfortunately.

So even though it was included in the bankruptcy we still have to wait the 3 years from October 2012?

I am afraid so. Generally three years.
