I took a stab at filing my own taxes through TaxAct. After I was finished going through the prompts, I was too uncomfortable to submit it and preferred a tax professional instead.

She actually came up with the same results. I actually owed a little instead of getting a refund. After emailing me everything she told me I had the option of accepting and signing everything so that she could submit it to the IRS.

I'd rather just go back on TaxAct, click submit and pay $14.99 or whatever it is versus a few hundred dollars for the very same results I initially had. Is it bad ettiquette to say no thanks?

Etiquette or no, it may be a moot point. Since she has done the leg work she may charge you some sort of admin fee minus the file fee. I would check on that first.

I was in the same situation a few years ago, I wound up paying the professional since I did make them do all the work and since then have filed on my own.
