Hello all,

I am a newbie to credit boards. I have question regarding a judement that I was hoping someone could answer with a degree of certainty. The judgement I have is from April 06, 2007. I am thinking about attempting to settle this judgement, but I have some questions on how to go about this exactly and more importantly how do I determine the correct amount I owe. The creditor's attorney attempted to garnish my wages by sending a notice to an employer, but I was no longer employed at this place. The person who received the notice to garnish my wages forwarded it to me. I am confused about the Amount due section of this notice. This is what is on it:

Judgement Creditor: Capital One Bank

Amount Due: $ PO-1,692.83 through September 14, 2010. (I do not understand this $figure??) Could someone explain what this means?

J Amt- $717.51, AF-$157.85

Int-$716.63 21.00% per annum

CC-100.84

When I calculate the interest I owe and total amount of judgement I get $1588.55, am I not calculating this correctly and furthermore if I am calculating this correctly what is the PO-$1692.83 for and why is it above what I have calculated? If anyone could answer these questions and offer some sound advice I would appreciate it. (The attorney's collecting are Mapother & Mapother)

Judgement Creditor: Capital One Bank

Amount Due: $ PO-1,692.83 through September 14, 2010. (I do not understand this $figure??) Could someone explain what this means?

Payoff amount due if payment received in full by September 14, 2010.

J Amt- $717.51, AF-$157.85

Judgement amount $717.51, Attorney fees $157.85

Int-$716.63 21.00% per annum

Interest $716.63

CC-100.84

Court costs $100.84.

Add these amounts up and the total is $1692.83. You will need to add another 2+ years interest to get a current payoff amount.

When I calculate the interest I owe and total amount of judgement I get $1588.55, am I not calculating this correctly and furthermore if I am calculating this correctly what is the PO-$1692.83 for and why is it above what I have calculated?
