Lates While Deployed

I have been doing ALOT of research lately and I can't seem to find what I am looking for. I was recently deployed and I was told we were going to have access to computers when we got in country and we didn't. Well I got many lates on my credit report during this time. I really don't think this is my fault! What can I do or does this violate my rights? I have read everyone posts about everything from top to bottom on this subject and I'm wondering if anyone has had any success? Most of the topics start, but then nobody gives updates to if it worked or not.

What I think you should do is call each account holder and explain the situation, be prepared to fax a copy of your orders to each company. Some may be helpful, others not so much. Just get it caught up and set up on auto pay.

SCRA requires you to notify creditors prior to departure. Having said that, they generally expect you to set up automatic payments or have someone else make payments for you. Good luck!

dc_ennis21, I know this is an old post, but did you have any luck with your lates while deployed? I ran into the same issue last year and followed up with 2 good will letters and a phone call to BMW Financial. They just thanked me for my service and told me to eat dirt, but were't gonna forgive 2 lates at all even if I were deployed.
