So I finally made contact with a member of the HSBC exec team today and she gave acknowledged that theyd received my Goodwill Gesture letters (I'd hope so I sent one to any email address I could find) and that she had put in some inquires and was awaiting the results back from them to see if there were any errors on HSBC's part. In my letter I had explain that I had fallen behind on my account due to redeployment from Iraq then PCS to Germany then deployment Afghanistan. When the exec called today she told me that HSBC has a strict policy of not removing any tradelines as a Goodwill gesture only if there was an error. She asked for my deployment and PCS orders which I am conjuring up to fax to her to tomorrow. Does anyone have any tips on their success with HSBC on getting a CO removed for Goodwill Gesture? The account is already paid off so I cant bargain a PFD. If I can get this CO and AAFES to knock off some missed payments I am SOLID!!

Since HSBC was just bought by Captial One you might be in luck, I have found them to be very generous with its military lenders. I sent them a SCRA letter for a debt I acquired while on active duty and they reduced my interest rate to 6% for the length of my service, I even got a card after that sent in another proof of service letter and they reduced that one as well. Send them your orders it might work out in your favor. Good Luck
