My husband's only baddie on his credit report is a 30 day late showing on his STAR card. On EQ it's marked on Nov 09 and on TU it's marked on Dec 09.

He deployed that November and pleasantly forgot to inform me of a balance until I got the letter in the mail. Once he was able to call me I got his log in information and paid it off. I had a POA, but not sure if we informed the company of it. I don't have a copy of the POA, but NFCU might have one on file?

Between the mismatched reporting and him being deployed, does he have any grounds to dispute the mark? How should we go about doing this?

All you have to do is have your husband call chases executive service and tell them he is military and had a late on his star card while deployed. They will take it off his credit and issue a refund of any fees and lower his APR if it caused it to go up. They are very forgiving to us miltary people

Thanks! I should also have noted that the account is now closed- I think when he EAS'd. Would that make the process different? Good to know they're looking out for you all!
