I was reported to Chexsystems last year when my account went overdrawn with BofA and they charged it off. I had 2 accounts with them, so they just took funds from the second account to pay the first and that was the end of it. UNTIL, I tried to sign up for a CU and they told me they needed proof of payment, which I got. So, I have a bank account, I was able to join the CU, and I am able to get credit cards - both secured an non. So my question is, is there any reason that I should go through the steps to try and have this removed, or is there any reason it should give me problems in the future?

Well then,if you've already successfully opened an account at a CU (which is what we ALL want) then you don't really need to.You would ONLY want to dispute these entries if you were going to open an account at a major bank since they would demand it before anything else. The only issue you might have is if the accounts were marked as "fraud" since some banks won't open an account for you with that notation, even if it has been paid off. You're better off sticking with what you've got since you're not getting taken advantage of fee-wise like you might at BofA.At this point, you've managed the near impossible,so I would be satisfied that someone has given you a second chance.

BOA is very difficult to get a removal from especially when it is a recent report. Is fraud or account abuse indicated on your report?
