Hello everyone im new to the board and looking for some guidence. I had a checking account with BOA and when i signed up they gave me a credit card and an account. I was given a big credit limit and was very shocked when I was told what they were giving me for credit. I am 26 years old now and I was about 21 when i opened the account. Along the way in late 2009 to early 2010 I had some issues and lost my job and what not and fell behind with bills and became overdrafted. I was hounded by debt collectors and was finally offred two setlements one for the checking account and another for the Credit card through BOA. I paid them both through an IRA account I had. My BOA accounts closed and settled

A few months later I have a new job no bank and was cashing my checks at the bank my job used. I went to try to get added on to my wifes account so I could just deposit my check there and found out I was reported to Checksystems. I tried a few other banks and was told i could open a savings account but could not use a checking account or get a debt card due to the checksystem issue with BOA. I found a few websites that have given advice and leters on what to do but when I recived the leter from checksystem as to what i was being reported to It seems to be reported as abuse of account. It also states that it is paid in full. I need some advice on how to go about this? I want to be able to do things in life that seem to be held up due to this cursed checksystems. I dont have a bank account because Im not allowed to have one, Im afraid to get involved in credit checks assuming this will pop up and only hurt me more. Where can i go from here?
