Hi all,

I have been trying to search these forums for weeks in hopes to finding a good solid post or sticky showing where to apply when you have poor credit and are wanting to get cards to help rebuild credit with new credit lines!

I know there is a credit card database and so forth but i remember a reputable post showing where to go to first!?

Is Chevron and Kohls the best place to apply for starters with low scores?

My Experian score is currently 578 and I have already got a secured CapitolONE card with a $500 limit.

Thanks so much!

GECRB Chevron/Texaco is a good starter card. Not sure about scores required, but check credit pulls for a general idea.

Walmart is the easiest GEMB card to get in my opinion.

If you received a "3 - 4 day message" on Amazon call them, it may mean they want to verify your ID thru L/N before approval.

I just called and was informed that i was denied but could re-apply in 30 days? Guess I will see how they based their decision and work on that before I re-apply!
