I'm planning a day of pure laziness ... sleep late, breakfast/brunch, retreat to recliner for TV/laptop/book time, shower, afternoon movie (Moonrise Kingdom), early dinner out, TV/laptop/book, and finish the night off by going outside to watch the city fireworks.

Whatcha planning to sulk about, Islandgal?

I could go to the lake, but I was just there, and I'm a little over it. I think I'm just going to grill and drink beer with some friends.

Going to San Diego with family. While the family will enjoy beaches and parks, I will play golf.

Running in this?! You are a sick, sick man.

I'm staking out a spot on my grandparents' lawn, with frequent trips into the water to cool off. Probly taking DS out on the jet ski at some point.

I am in Ark-In-Saw. My son got married yesterday ( :yahoo: ), but I am having a flare of my diverticulitis so it's ribs and corn on the cob for everyone else, and clear liquids for me. <_<

 No. NO no no. It's about 90 here already. Supposed to be 100. With HIGH humidity. I was gonna go to the lake but...no. I'm lot leaving my lovely 68* degree house. Maybe I'll go watch fireworks later tonight in my lovely 68* car. Either way, this weather is ridiculous.

And then people like Giraffy send me pictures of their weather. EVIL.

P.s. Trev, we should do the deck at Fletcher's sometime. :) Unless you prefer Maynard's.

We just took the kids to Cracker Barrel for dinner. Now we're headed to St. Pete beach for music and fireworks. Then we're gonna go somewhere and shoot off our fireworks.

Nothing, being it landed in the middle of week we couldn't go to the cabin. Dh is on call which is fine for this year. He is actually out on one now, gets paid double time.

We have spareribs cooking on the grill and will pig out later, otherwise just being lazy and catching up on housework.

We will see if the neighbor sets up the big fireworks, the big good ones are banned here if you are caught $300 fine and 6 months in jail (last year after the 4th some kids setting of fireworks caught a church on fire and it burnt down, not on purpose but not being careful either) at the cabin we would have set a bunch off, so saved some money this year which is good right now.

I hope everyone else has a great 4th :)

I wish you'd send some this way. I can't remember the last time it rained here and watering has just become futile. Although fireworks are illegal within our city limits (except for the city who does it up big each year), we still have people around here who set them off. We've just given our dog her dose of anti-anxiety medication or we won't be able to sleep tonight. Fireworks, thunderstorms and hot air balloons make her crazy which, in turn, makes us crazy.

We ran a 5K in our subdivision. Ate a lot. Sat around watching hours of bad movies. Watched the HOA fireworks from our porch. Quiet. :)
