I want to post about this again. Awesome organization.

How did Adam's Hope come into existence? Adam was a Marine who died in Afghanistan in April 2011. His last post on facebook goes like this:

"Lord, I ask you to watch over my men as we go into the valley of the shadow of death. I know that the enemy we face is not only an enemy of America, but an enemy of Israel as well, an enemy of you Lord, so I know we are fighting for you. If it is your will that one of us from weapons platoon should fall, please let it be me, and not one of my brothers. In your name I pray."
Amen. Cpl Adam D. Jones

This was Adam's Last Post on FB, March 8, 2011, he gave his all on April 27, 2011.

This organization gives EVERYTHING to the troops!! They even use their own money to buy and ship boxes to the troops. But even cards/letters telling them how we appreciate what they do means SOOOO much!!

I don't ask people on here for much, but I do ask that if y'all could just take the time to look and listen, open your hearts and maybe give anything. A letter, a note to the family on facebook about how much you appreciate what they do, or a donation of money, or a donation of socks, gloves, a package of Ramen Noodles...whatever.

Kelly regularly posts items that the troops tell her they need. Most of what they ask for are things that we consider a given. A pillow. They don't have pillows. Gloves for their hands because when the sun goes down it gets REALLY cold there.

Some of these guys never get anything from family. No letters. Nothing. This whole thing started when Adam was receiving boxes from his family and he noticed that others received nothing. He would request that his family send something to this or that soldier so that they may feel like someone cared. Then, the family began getting requests from other soldiers stating that a particular soldier never got anything. So they would send that soldier a package. It has snowballed into a great community of giving.

So yeah. If y'all would just maybe "like" the page and go from there, that would be great!

K Thanks!! :)
