I've been lurking around for about three months now and I have started to build my own business and business credit. This is what I have accomplished so far, thanks to you guys!
Operating From home
Incorporated CA S-corp March 2012
ordered from quill, did not request credit, paid with my credit card but made my company profile with them. I ordered like 100.00 worth of office supplies
Obtained duns number May 2012
Opened BofA Business account online May 2012. They asked me to fax over articles of incorporation
Started to list my business on 411, whitepages, yellow pages, super pages with my personal cell number (sprint)
May 15 2012 Quill ordered a printer and toner. Order was over 400.00 and at check out i asked to be invoiced. Got an email confirming that my order was shipping out.
June 12 checked d&b and saw retail-mail order 500.00
June 12 Faxed over application for grainger, requested 1,000... got 1000.
June 12 called sprint to see if they could transfer my personal account to a business account. Had to fax tax id ( irs form ss4),bank statement and my ID. and got an email confirming the change. i don't know my credit limit or line limit.
June 15, ordered ULINE online, my order was close to 300.00 and at check out i said to invoice me and i got an email with order confirmation.
June 18, applied for wright express. got message that they were reviewing my application. should take 5 days
June 25, D&B says i now have a "cash experience" 750.00 - i dont know who that can be
June 25th checked my wright express application and said it was approved. I called in with a rep and they just wanted a drivers list with pin numbers and if the card would be fuel only or open to merchandise. Asked what my limit was and i got 1,000! Will ship cards tomorrow
I had also applied for office depot today but they said i needed a PG so i said no thanks. - maybe i am going to fast?
So far that's what I've been up to. Thank you all!!

Some helpful tips:
- Your post may not get a reply right away. Don't be discouraged, this is a very busy board. If it falls off of the first page, feel free to reply to your post yourself, with the word "bump" in the text. This will *bump* your post back up to the top of the board.
- If you haven't yet, take a peek at The CB's Newbie Section Everything that you need to know is in that forum, for the most part! It's a lot of reading, we know, but this credit stuff can have a steep learning curve. In no time, you'll be posting like the pros!
- This is also a good place to start for Business Credit Newbies
- If you find that someone is discourteous to you, use the REPORT button at the bottom of every post - that will ensure that a moderator or admin looks at the post and decides if it is against the CB's TOS
- Off -topic posts should go in the fun place known as the CB General Forum
Finally, this thread will explain our position on Solicitations and Advertising
We do not allow solicitation or advertising on any forum on creditboards, including the business forum.
Again, welcome to the CreditBoards family!

Congrats. I would advise you to continue to utilize those credit accounts. After about 3-6 months you could then re apply with Office Depot.

Congrats, definitely on the right track I'd say. Give some time for some of those NET30 accounts to report, and then in a few months try office depot again.
You are right on track.. Although I'm surprised that Quill approved that printer purchase. From my understanding the tech items fall under different credit requirements, I'm sure the prepaid order helped that along.
A couple years a go, I had a tech order cancelled by Quill, but a larger office supplies order approved. Go figure.

I think that do that to combat fraud.. Tech items you can easily turn around sell quickly for cash. Can't really do that with office supplies.. I had Quill for awhile and still had a tough time with tech items.
