...anyway. Today I check the mail and i've got THREE letters from them stating:
"Dear adastra:
PRA has concluded its investigation of your dispute and is closing your account. PRA filed a Universal Data Form electronically requesting that the three major credit reporting agencies delete PRA's trade line for this account on your credit reports."
This seems too easy to be true. Did I just luck out? Or is there going to be some mysterious kick in the pants coming from them or HSBC that I'm just not aware of?
If it's legit, I'm super stoked!!!!

AH, found it on the SEC filings
We have been named as defendant in the following five putative class action cases, each of which alleges that we violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”) by calling consumers’ cellular telephones without their prior express consent:
Allen v. Portfolio Recovery Associates, Inc., Case No. 10-cv-2658, instituted in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California on December 23, 2010;
Meyer v. Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC, Case No. 37-2011-00083047, instituted in the Superior Court of California, San Diego County on January 3,
2011; Frydman v. Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC, Case No. 11-cv-524, instituted in the United States District Court for the Northern District of
Illinois on January 31,
2011; Bartlett v. Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC, Case No. 11-cv-0624, instituted in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia on March 1,
2011; and Harvey v. Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC, Case No. 11-cv-00582, instituted in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida on April 8, 2011.
Each of the foregoing complaints allege violations of the TCPA, and seek damages, injunctive relief and attorneys’ fees. On December 21, 2011, the United States District Panel on
Multi-District Litigation entered an order transferring these matters into one consolidated proceeding in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, Case No. 11-md-02295.

hmm I also disputed with them recently and recieved a letter asking why I was disputing. I basically sent a verification letter and have not heard anything back as of yet.
Did you ever hear anything back from them? Did they take it off your Credit report? good Luck.
