A comment about Creditboards

“Be very careful of credit boards and the "advice" you receive.
There is a hard core element there whose goal is to simply charge up cards and not pay and figure out ways to limit the damage of not paying. Then build up credit quickly and repeat the cycle.
Lots of scammers and deadbeats and entitlement minded folks with an agenda.”
Now I know all websites have their bad apples, but this is something that I have not seen, and as a CB member find offensive.
I replied:
“To each their own, but I disagree.
In fact I think the OP will find it very useful. I don’t have a credit card, I don’t have any credit card debt, I’m not a scammer, and I find the website very useful.
As a general rule I would suggest being careful on any website.
It’s been my experience that at CB they offer real life advice to help fellow members with debt issues. Like how to improve your credit score, how to remove inaccurate information on a report, how to deal with a collection agency, how to get validation for debts, how to deal with fraud, etc….lots of useful information.
I’ll let the OP decide if it’s right for him, as I would guess we could all find a website that we could make some sort of derogatory accusations about some of the members.”
I’m not a real active member, but I’m an active lurker and I can’t say I’ve seen any of this type of behavior….if a troll comes along, they are usually hammered on pretty hard. I know it's just one posters opinion but, Does this happen a lot with CB?
Sorry I won’t share a link with anyone, unless an Admin or mod needs it. Just ticked me off so I wanted to rant!

Obviously those fools can't read and do not have any reading comprehension abilities since they think this board is about running up all the credit you can and then not paying on it.

Many of us who are building or rebuilding, do like to stockpile a bunch of available credit, I won't lie about that. In at least 99% of cases that I have seen, it's not so we can run it up and default on it again. It's just to improve our utilization so we can get approved for the house, car or rewards card we want. Since I have been here, I've gotten approved for way more available credit than I ever had before, but I'm paying it in full every month.
The whole credit = debt thing smacks of DR, credit is evil because credit is debt!

I have been a member here for YEARS and can count on one finger the number of times I have even read anything closely related to someone suggesting running up their credit after repairing it and not paying what they then owe. And when that was even suggested the one time I did read something similar, the other members here read them the riot act for their short-sightedness and ignorance.
Lots of scammers and deadbeats and entitlement minded folks with an agenda.”
Yeah. I am ALL about feeling entitled. I do nothing but run up credit. (just ignore everyone on creditboards that preach the gospel of Ramsey, or those that claim "Cash is King" - that's all just part of Creditboard's Scam)
I hope said poster chokes on their own tongue, you know, as part of my "agenda".

But his dislike and comments give me the feeling that he is probably in the collection business….again that is just my gut.
I have never seen anything like he stated, nor do I think I will...

But I've never once seen it given as advice. And I hang out in the CF more than the GF, even if I just lurk and don't post for a few months.

I would have asked him to show exact threads where CB advises to run up credit cards and not pay.He just doesn't know when to quit, out of respect to the original poster on that website, I have chose not to hi-jack the OP's post by arguing with him, so I have quit.
