Ehh. The reason is much more simple then all of that but only briefly touched on. Social media is the most powerful force for change in the world right now.

 

Companies survive if not thrive on the the fact that people only listen to the positive remarks and attribute negative remarks as a minority who were either expecting too much, or just had an otherwise bad experience. If a company or product is getting as many or more dislikes as it is getting likes, then odds the company or product is crap.

 

That drives down sales, which is an incentive to not use facebook. If you aren't on facebook, people can't "dislike" you. So no. You are not going to see a "dislike" button on facebook.
