i didnt see, but i heard it and what is in the newspaper is what i believe to be factually correct and what i would tell the cops if i spoke to them. it would be what i pieced together happened based on what i know about the intersection and they are saying that is what happened. i feel i have no value to add and since i didnt actually see it, i cannot contradict nor confirm what really happened, just what i heard.

so i'm going to stay out of it

Yes, you are a witness, but since you agree with what has already been concluded based on other witnesses and evidence, you wouldn't change anything.
