I'm new to having an HSA (health Savings Account). My employer uses Chase and I fund the account monthly and have a debit card. So far, few issues and I like the tax benefits.

I recall them saying you could ask for paper checks to pay medical bills. This might come in handy so I call Chase. "Oh, you need a signature card, upon returning it, we'll let you know if you're approved. Or not". Not approved to use my own money? "Yes. Chase uses Chex, then we will pull a credit report and then decide if you are entitled to one pack (not box) of checks to access your HSA". One pack of checks is more than $10. I told the rep no thank you. Fees too high and too many strings. I didn't ask if there was a per check processing fee.

Guess Jamie Dimon is getting his 2 Billion back, one customer at a time.
