More drama. I had a meeting on Monday. During this meeting is when I found out that my daughter will be in the custody of CPS for a minimum of 6-8 months because of all the red tape and custody hearings. That shocked me. My daughter was on the phone during that meeting (after the discussion about time frames), she of course wasn't happy that we were all together once again talking about treatment for illness she doesn't believe she has. She even got upset at the fact that I was asking for counseling and parenting classes for myself. She tried telling everyone that our relationship is fine and we have no problems..and that she has no problems. By now, she's not pulling the wool over anyone's eyes. I mentioned to the team what happened on our phone call the previous day and she immediately yelled "That's disrespectful!". I asked what she was referring to and she said that was a private conversation and I had no right to share what was said. I told her it wasn't fair that she wants everyone to believe all stuff she says about our relationship and her being fine but gets mad when I tell them my side. Fast forward to today. She had a medication check appointment with her usual Psych NP, so CPS sent a taxi to get her and bring her to the appointment. I showed up prior to the CPS caseworker, who arrived a few minutes later. My daughter was not very lively but did speak with me. I don't know why I figured she knew about the 6-8 month thing, but in the gist of our conversation I mentioned it and she flipped out. Not physical or anything but started crying and was extremely agitated and upset. She didnt hesitate to begin berating me in front of the caseworker. She told me I was "Incredibly Stupid...soooo incredibly stupid" and that I should be regretting this by now. I told her I loved her but I would not allow her to talk to me like that and I went outside until we were called back for her appointment. She immediately shut down and refused to talk or look at anyone. When asked, she did admit to being suicidal again and would do whatever necessary to hurt or kill herself. At the same time she was admitting to that I passed a note to the CPS worker and the PsychNP saying that I believed she would attempt to run. So, not to drag this out any further than I already have...she's back in the hospital and will hopefully be there until we hear an answer back from the state regarding residential treatment. I've come to learn that the group home she was in was not locked down and her roommate had run away 2 days prior, so I'm glad she's back in the hospital in a locked down facility. I also learned from her boyfriend about some major lies she told him regarding stuff she says happened to her in the past that I KNOW for a fact didn't happen. Stuff that could ruin other people's lives. I just don't understand why all of the massive lying. Ive run myself into the ground with grief, lack of sleep, and stress. I can't take one more thing happening.

I'm so sorry your going through all this.. my first gut reactions tell me it sounds like she's bi-polar. I'm glad she's back in the hospital again... hopefully once treatment begins things will start to calmn down. It doesn't suprise me about the 6-8 months thing w/ CPS.

Maybe she's been doing drugs before she was put in the hosptial/group home etc and is having massive withdrawls?

I haven't been following everything, but I wanted to add hugs. You sound like you are doing what is best for your daughter, even if it is hard for you.

She has been diagnosed by several different mental health providers as either bi-polar or some sort of mood disorder. During the most recent hospitalization prior to being admitted again yesterday, the hospital Psychiatrist said she believes my daughter may have Borderline Personality Disorder. Based on a book the doc recommended, as well as other info I am finding regarding that ikkness, I tend to agree that she is more likely suffering from Borderline rather than bi-polar. It just seems to fit her to a tee. It is possible to have both though. I just found out today that CPS and I are due in court tomorrow afternoon for the dependency hearing. Apparently there will be an attorney there to represent me, however I have no idea how that will work considering I've never met or spoke to this person.

Has anyone brought up also the possibility of multiple personality? other than berating you, and then acting totally fine, has her tone changed at all? Has she referred herself in third person? I noticed this with my ex roommate when she would go into her many multiple personalities she had she always acted very different form her normal self as well as speech/tone and would often talk of her self in "Third" person.. when one of them would come out... oohhh btw she was also bi-polar too.

I haven't seen any evidence of multiple personalities at all with her. I went to visit her tonight and evidentally she has been admitted into a substance abuse group in the hospital. I knew she had smoked weed at least a few times, but now she claims she had been doing spice heavily for a couple weeks prior to her last overdose. I really don't know how much to believe since she's been lying so much lately, but she seemed to know an awful lot about it and was telling me of instances that she used it that seemed to be real. I feel like I've completely lost my daughter to the world, to drugs, to her illness. I'm so broken hearted. I miss my little girl.

I think you did the best thing for your daughter that you could! You and your daughter have been in my thoughts! I hope she gets the help that she needs... and that you can accept that this was your last, and best, option! (((hugs)))

Unfortunately I was unable to make it to court today as scheduled. Luckily I was in contact with the CPS caseworker and she said it was absolutely fine and that this was not a hearing, just a conference. 2 hours before I was due in court, I received a phone call from my son's school nurse. My son had been at a pool party with the rest of his 7th & 8th grade class. The pool was at a public park just down the street from the school. Apparently my son jumped off a diving board into the 15 foot deep pool with such force that they thought his eardrums had possibly ruptured along with my son complaining of head and neck pain. After a ride in an ambulance and a visit to the ER, he was cleared and declared fine. I think the school was just making sure to take every precaution necessary. Luckily everything is fine, but of course put me in quite a panic worrying both about my son and missing court ( which I was concerned would look bad in terms of making sure I could still regain custody of my daughter eventually). The CPS caseworker reassured me that this would not cause any problems with my case and that she would explain to the other people that were to be at the conference what had happened. Luckily I have a paper trail of proof. Hopefully this weekend will be calmer.
