My mom got knocked over and stomped on by a horse this afternoon. My sister took her to ER - they're pretty sure she cracked a rib, and may have damaged something in her knee or ankle (of her good leg, of course, because isn't that how it always goes?). Please say a prayer that the injuries are minor and that she heals quickly.

:lol: She runs a boarding stable. We handle 50+ horses every day.

 

Sending my thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery. What happened? Did the horse get spooked?

I'm not entirely clear on the sequence of events - my sister was a little stressed when she called to tell me what happened. Apparently she was turning out a horse - same routine as every single day - and today he decided he didn't want to go out. He's one of the barn's most Steady Eddie personalities, so it caught my mom totally off guard.
