I just got an email from them and they welcome me as a new member. The member ID number, checking and saving account number is enclosed with the email.

Ron.

mine had a "person number" but that didn't work for online access.
i'll just wait.

I have a "person number" too, and was also unable to enroll in online access with that number.

Thanks for letting me know. It didn't work. Did you call them to ask your member no.?

Ron.

no, i don't want to completely stress out the single employee handling it. :)

I just called to their customer service and they're nice and helpful. She gave me a new member no over the phone after answering security password. You need that member ID to enroll the online banking. The member ID is 5 digit number, not your person number from your email. I also asked them about the service fee and you don't have to keep $100 if you have another account like Think Big Checking. It looks like it is a very good CU.

I did get my welcome email after a couple of hours. I used the online chat and was able to get my member number. The online access didn't work. I called the number listed and was told it should update overnight when they "run the cycle" but the rep went ahead and activated online access for me. If you aren't in a rush, give it a day.

Same experience here. Nice online chat lady gave me my member number, but I couldn't get in. But I decided to just wait until tomorrow.

They called me today & left a message. Nothing bad they just wanted to verify the type of account I want. I'll call when I get a chance during the week.

CB effect strikes again..called today and the rep said "for some reason there was an odd abundance of account openings" lol. I called because I couldn't log in to online banking. She gave me access over the phone. I applied for a credit product BTW, and they pulled EQ.

My rep was sort of clueless. At first, she thought I applied for a loan. She even said, "All of our loan officers have gone home for the day." Then I explained to her that I was attempting to join the CU. She said "It looks like well call you tomorrow;" then that changed to "It could take 5 to 7 days." So...

I also seem to notice that.. IF things get lost in translation, or are so clueless like that.. its usually denial.

Will a 5-year-old Chex count me out? :(

It seems like a nice little outfit. I wonder how simple it is to transfer money, i.e. setting up automatic monthly transfers in from another account.
