It is useless.... No creditor looks at any of the scores that EQ, EX, or TU produces. The only important scores are FICOs.
I didnt see where MYFico offered EX.
I was able to pull my EQ and TU with MYfico but not EX is there another place to get a correct Fico for EX?

Agree, totally. Vantage score is designed to do one thing, and one thing only: Sell you Experian reports.

I was pulling scores this morning and I was able to get a free report the the BD of EX so I went ahead and bought the score. How accurate are these scores??
Thanks in advance
Also, if you want to purchase your real scores go to myfico.com. You would be able to buy your EQ and TU FICO scores. Now Wal-Mart credit card do give out free monthly TU scores, Digital Credit Union gives EQ, PSECU gives out EX scores.

MyFICO does not offer EX FICO scores to anyone. It is tough for a consumer to get true FICO scores based on Experian reports in the past year or so.
We, as credit grantors, can get your EX FICO, which we do all day long, but you have to really know how to manuever the choices to purchase one as a consumer for your own report.

You are correct, they do not offer your EX FICO score. The only place that gives free monthly EX FICO scores is the credit union called PSECU.

Sorry, I did not say manuever the scores, I said manuever the choices to purchase: one example is: PSECU, but that is open to very few people. Other people think they are getting EX FICO when they get a score from a creditor, based on a EX report, but the creditors don't often send those to consumers. Hence, I say you have to really know what you are doing as a consumer to get your true FICO score for yourself.

BoA also provides an EX FICO when they turn down your request for a CLI.
But at least I didn't get hit with a hard.
Interesting. The letter you received after the denial used the term " FICO "?

It did. Even though it was a "NO! You suck even with your fancy 795 score!" letter, it was still a prize because it contained within it the elusive EX FICO.

Interesting. Not a lot of denials out there with a 795 FICO.

LOL, I have a thick file... I am the one that talks to you about Macys and that awful $100 spending limit they gave me.

No, they denied me a CLI because I don't use the card enough to need one. Can't say I blame them, really. I didn't need one, I just wanted one.

Gaby, don't fell discouraged. BOA is infamous for their unorthodox ways of issuing credit. The only reason why I do any business with them is because they are everywhere and they offer free checking for my personal and biz checking accounts.

If a lender is using it, it's not fake. While Fair Isaac is still the market leader, there are many different models being used. Some of these scores available to consumers, some are not.
Contrary to the poor advice you've received in this thread, you should pay attention to any score which may be used by a lender.
Vantagescore is a collaboration between the major credit bureaus. You'll find that it is actually quite an important score and is used as the basis for the secondary scoring market.

You can apply for an Amex and you will likely find out your EX FICO...
I recently got an Amex plat. I have no idea if they provided a FICO score since the twits "expedited" the card and sent the package to my physical address via USPS express mail. I didn't get it because USPS doesn't deliver mail to my physical and had to have them send a replacement. That package was just a new card.

Since the Card Act, Fico no longer holds the reigns on scoring. Because companies are now required to provide scores in denials, they use cheaper, readily available, or proprietary scoring models.

Companies now have to provide the score they use, whether proprietary (they often are) or FICO. Prior to sometime last year they could provide a "score" that wasn't actually used in the credit grant decision. No longer.

that used to be the case but more creditors are switching to it because of the high cost of FICO scores. It is useless.... No creditor looks at any of the scores that EQ, EX, or TU produces. The only important scores are FICOs.
