Anyone ever donate to the Salvation Army? I have probably 500 pieces of clothing from the kids that I am getting rid of. I looked at their website and see that for shirts, on the low end, they are $2 for estimated value. There are jeans and jackets and stuff in what I am donating, too. I honestly do NOT want to go back through all of it and list it individually.

Do I need to?
Should I take pics of what I am donating in case of an audit later? I wasn't planning on taking individual pics, but rather 50-100 pieces at a time?

I have never done this before so suggestions are welcome. :)

We use a program called "It's Deductible" that assigns a value to items. We donate to Goodwill on a regular basis and make an itemized list each time which we attach to the receipt they give us. I've often wondered if we should take pictures. It would be easy enough ... take digital pictures, save them to the computer with the date of the donation to match up later, if needed.
