Just to update everyone on the contest I have been in which started 2/1/12. Our end of month weigh in was today and I lost 12.2 pounds!!!! Whoopeee!!!! The contest is won by weight loss by percentage. Someone lost 24 pounds, but she has much more weight to lose (much younger as well) than I. I am proud of her and all the contestants who lost. At my age and in a menopausal state it is very difficult.

That's awesome! About 3500 cals in a pound of fat so your deficit is 1750 cals a day average. Research your stimulants to keep the ball rolling like coffee, aspirin, green tea, B vitamins, chromium, l-carnitine and many many others. Just don't stop, quit or get weak. Do!

I think I am on track to lost the weight...finally. I have help at the gym from a personal trainer who guides me and my diet is 1000 or less in calories and I am under medical supervision as I have type 2 diabetes. I also take Rx potassium everyday and a host of vitamins and supplements plus whey isolate protein shakes.

Today for the first time in 2 months I felt thin. But in reality I have a lot more to lose!
