 Ultimate Taser Ball...

http://www.myvidster...sers_and_TAZERS

Ultimate Taser Ball, a football-style game in which players use Tasers to stun their opponents, is becoming a hit.

The game has eight players, two nets, a foam ball and eight stun guns and its aim is to carry the ball to your opponents' net and score.

Along the way, players on the rival team try to jolt the opposition with a 300,000-volt stun gun.

"It's not technically a police grade Taser," the Daily Star quoted Eric Prum, 25, one of the founders of Ultimate Taser Ball, as saying.

"But those things really do hurt.

"The reason it's really cool is because it causes your muscles to spasm, therefore you're going to drop the ball, you're going to trip, you're going to fall over. It's fun," he said.

The stun guns deliver significantly less electric current than the 1 amp needed to kill.

I am deeply disturbed that there needs to be this disclaimer. Yikes.

They should at least wear helmets. Even if you take the tasers away, they're playing a contact sport. Idiots.

"Trained professionals" my arse. How does one train themselves to not potentially die from a tasering?

they need an amp to kill...I wonder if they have to get their tasers calibrated?

It's really the type of pulse, not so much the current or voltage, that determines if an electric shock is likely to be fatal or not. Tasers and electric fences work on that principle. Speaking of that, why aren't the sidelines made of electric fence? Even not so bright farm boys would think of that.
