One of DW's work colleagues lost her 5 year old son, Isaac, at the weekend. He'd had a bad cough for about 3 weeks and was in hospital for 3 days about 2 weeks ago. At first they thought he had asthma but after running a battery of tests they couldn't find anything wrong and discharged him. This past Saturday his mom was really worried and popped him in the car to take him to the ER. He stopped breathing on route and couldn't be revived.
Prayers, thoughts or whatever would be greatly appreciated for Isaac's family, I can't even begin to understand what they must be going through.
Prayers please

I can't even imagine. It sounds like epiglottitis. I worried about that when dd had her whooping cough illness back in October. My prayers to your wife's friend and her entire family. What an unspeakable loss.

I am so sorry for the family's loss.
When the family is ready, please direct them to Compassionate Friends. It can help to be around others who understand how painful such a loss can be.

Prayers and thoughts for your friend's family.
As a parent who has lost a child, I know what they are going through. Please have them talk to someone that can help. It will make all the difference in the world.
I would be more than happy to help if I can.
