This maybe already answered but I was wondering if I got a credit card while on active duty status does my SCRA benefits still apply. I have 4 credit cards and 3 of 4 honored the SCRA, but 1 of them just sent me a letter stating that since the card was opened while on active duty status the SCRA benefits don't apply. Can they do this or do I have a legit complaint?

What they said is true. SCRA applies to debts incurred before active duty. Some lenders still drop your rates just to be pro-military but they have no obligation to do so.
You could look into a 0% BT card if you are trying to save on interest... maybe with NFCU? Are you still AD?
