Ok, my husband has a medical bill collection on his credit report.

OC: Dr.K CA: Diversified SVS Group

Date of service 8/2007, Date opened: 2/2008, Reported since 6/2008 Balance $646

I disputed it a loonnnggg time ago(probably 2-3 years)before I knew about the HIPPA why chat process.

This is what is says on Your statement:

Account information disputed by consumer (Meets requirement of the Fair Credit Reporting Act).

My question is, can/should I still start with the pre-hippa medical dispute letter to the CRA? I just was not sure if this past dispute will mess the process up? or if I start from the beginning and ignore it. Thanks so much!

Delete old addresses, if possible if you have moved since 2007

Send the initial dispute letter to each CRA where the account is reporting ( use a REAL report with a report ID#)

You original dispute has long since left the CRA computer system
