The student loan is absolutely killing her score.Nice. Time to get her a JLOC for installment loan or do you think student loan is doing the trick?
If I were nice, I'd pay it off for her.
BUT, I've given her many times that already.

That's awesome, I added a new us citizen (dual citizen from Canada) with no credit file to my capital one cards (2) his San was issued back in aug of 2011, both cards pooped on like 3 days later, a month later I walked him into nfcu ( his father is a retired US Army) but has chosen to live in Canada since the 70's, so Navy gave the approval to join, and knew that he was a dual citizen (I told them just as a heads up, ssn was just issued, and it looked weird lol) and they knew I added him as an AU on both cap cards, and poof he got the auto loan he wanted, and he was issued a LOC and a go rewards card for 5k..
His Ex Fico was 699His EQ Fico (no score yet)His TU Fico (no score yet)
I suspect the reason he has no scores is because the fact his ssn was just issued, and he was required to get a statement from SSA stating that he was legit lol, which worked!
So keep up with experiments Bob, I love reading these kinda things lol, which is awesome btw!
How did you request a statement from SSA to prove that the SSN is legit? Did you do it via phone?
I was asked by penfed to do the same thing and has been too lazy...

By the way, did your credit file hit 30 years in January? That could account for some of the leap in EX's FICO score.

I'm leaning towards FICO 04 for PSECU too.The credit crowd at myfico says the WalMart TU FICO is 08, but the PSECU EX FICO is 04. It'll be interesting if you can confirm the PSECU FICO through your ES.

Because I got dinged for 5 accounts with balances by Wally, but not PSECU.
Yes, once she gets her first PSECU FICO, we'll be able to tell easily.
Hit 30 years in March, 2012.

Well, that sort of blows their theory of a bump in FICO at the 30 year length of history mark.

When she applied to PSECU, she had put down her own mobile phone number as the contact number.
She had called a few times from her mobile phone to check on her application, always told they're still working on it.
The last time she called, on Monday, I had her call from my land-line home phone.
President and CEO of PSECU left a pre-recorded welcoming message on my home phone today.

Interesting. Makes one wonder if that was why they scrutinized her app a bit more. These suspicious CUs are a pain.

I added her to a 10 year old Express store card, a 7ish year old Victoria's Secret store card (just my two oldest) and a BofA Visa 3.5 years old. The store cards still haven't reported and it's been about 2 months. The BofA card reported in only a couple weeks. Should I send her to Walmart with just BofA or maybe try making a purchase on the store cards to get them to report?
I'm also wondering if Walmart should be the first app, or if I should expect that they use FICO 08 in which case the AU-only situation might not help her? I almost wonder if she should try apping over the phone with Walmart and/or NFCU to request TU be pulled since it's the only one reporting her auto loan.
Any advice is much appreciated. I'm mailing the BofA card to her tomorrow and looking forward to the results.

IOW, sign her up for Credit Sesame & Credit Karma.
If they can't generate a score, she'll have to wait to apply for major credit cards,.
I like Walmart BECAUSE they give a FICO 08, and they're geared to lower credit profiles.

I added a friend as au to one of my cards, it reported 3 days ago on all bureaus. It is tge only TL reporting.
Credit sesame gives a score 758. But credit karma says thin file no score. She has inqs between EQ and TU from Feb.
Can you advise what the next move ahould be?

If you go to myFICO.com, you can test whether Equifax has enough info to generate a score.
Just remember that if she signs up for any myFICO free trials that will likely put her on the C* list.
Just buying an Equifax score is not considered a risk factor for C*

GE (for Walmart etc) always pulls TU in my part of the world.
A few people have said they pulled EQ though, so check the credit pulls DB for her state. Look for everything under GECRB or GEMB (Walmart, Lowe's, JCPenney, Amazon store etc - there are lots of them).
There was also a hypothesis presented that applying through the CKarma links MIGHT increase the chances of TU being pulled.
Walmart is super easy to get, gives CLIs every 4 months, and is a card she'll want to keep (for the FICO). It's a much better option than a throw-away toy starter card, IMO.
